IPNU Smoke-free Declaration
From the 1st of September 2016, Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University declared the entire grounds of the university smoke-free, to create a campus without cigarettes and to maintain the health of its students and teaching staff.
Smoking not only damages the health of smokers themselves, but has a serious effect on the health of non-smokers through second-hand smoke. IPNU, as an educational institution for clinical and public health nurses who look after the health of the community’s citizens, aims to protect the health of all its students, be active in preventing smoking and second-hand smoke to avoid health damage in the general population, and to communicate the importance of this to the community.
We ask all students and teaching staff of this university, and any other relevant parties for their understanding and cooperation.
