About Us

Welcome to IPNU

Since its establishment in 2000, Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University (IPNU) has enjoyed an increasing reputation for excellence in education and research activities. It is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan and is also one of the top national recipients of research funding from the Ministry.

In concert with our recent foundation of the Graduate School of Nursing, and our long-lasting and unique contributions to the community through a variety of educational programs, we are becoming an outstanding center for the advancement of nursing science.

Our university is located near Kanazawa, a historical old city full of both traditional and modern cultural treasures. Also surrounded by the abundant natural beauty of the Sea of Japan and highlands that lead to holy Mount Hakusan, the university offers a superb environment for fruitful academic life, as well as extracurricular activities.
