On Saturday, July 18, Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University held its Summer Open Campus 2026.

The Joint Research Course in Well-Being Nursing hosted a mini research event entitled “Beyond Visualization: Experiencing Nursing Robotics.” Participants experienced a robotic mattress that detects body pressure and automatically adjusts pressure distribution, as well as a portable AI-assisted ultrasound device that enables them to observe structures inside the body.

Although initially surprised by these advanced nursing technologies, participants operated the AI-assisted ultrasound device to observe the inside of their own bodies and experienced the robotic mattress firsthand. Through these activities, they appeared to discover the appeal and possibilities of a new form of nursing supported by technology.

We hope that this experience has deepened their interest in the nursing profession and Well-Being Nursing and will inspire them to pursue a future career in nursing.
