The Kahoku City Community Open Lecture “Health Check” was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2025, at the Kahoku City Takamatsu Industrial and Cultural Center, and on Thursday, June 11, at Toriyasaimiso BLUECATS ARENA. At the event, faculty members and graduate students from our course conducted a variety of health assessments, including body composition, bone density, grip strength, and toe grip strength. Over the two days, a total of 142 local residents participated. Participants shared many comments, such as, “I wanted to know my bone density,” and “I wonder how many years it has been since I last measured my grip strength,” reflecting a strong interest in health and well-being among community members. For our course as well, the event provided a valuable opportunity to hear directly from local residents about their awareness of and interest in health.
