Assistant Professor Keita Tatsukawa Appeared on FM Kahoku
On Monday, May 18, Keita Tatsukawa, Assistant Professor of the Joint Research Course, appeared on FM Kahoku and spoke on the theme, “Learning About Your Body Through Body Composition and Bone Density.”
During the program, he introduced the “Kahoku City Ikiiki Senior Activity Promotion Health Measurement Event,” which will be held on Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11. This initiative is being conducted in collaboration with Kahoku City to provide local residents with an opportunity to review their own health status and make use of the results for health promotion.
Although many people have opportunities to measure their body weight and blood pressure in daily life, they do not often have the chance to measure “body composition,” which includes muscle mass, body fat percentage, and body water content, or “bone density,” which indicates bone strength. At this health measurement event, participants will be able to measure a variety of health indicators and gain a better understanding of their physical condition.
