Before sharing this update, we would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake. Our thoughts are with all those impacted, and we sincerely hope for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the affected communities.

From July 26 to 30, 2026, members of the Joint Research Course in Well-Being Nursing presented two research papers at IEEE EMBC 2026 (Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society), held in Toronto, Canada.

IEEE EMBC is one of the world’s largest international conferences in biomedical engineering and medical technology, bringing together researchers from around the world to present the latest advances in medical devices, artificial intelligence, biomedical sensing, rehabilitation engineering, and related fields. Participation in the conference provided an excellent opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research and to exchange ideas with researchers from both Japan and overseas.
