Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University to Offer the FY2026 Recurrent Education Program: “Seating for Supporting Daily Living in Older Adult Care”

投稿日:

Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University is pleased to offer the FY2026 Recurrent Education Program, “Seating for Supporting Daily Living in Older Adult Care.”

In older adult care, seating is an individualized care approach that helps healthcare professionals support trunk function and sitting balance, enabling older adults to sit comfortably and safely in chairs and wheelchairs. As part of comprehensive care, appropriate seating can promote a comfortable sitting posture, improve activities of daily living (ADLs), help prevent pressure injuries and aspiration, and encourage greater participation in social activities. Ultimately, these benefits contribute to an improved quality of life (QOL).

Beginning this year, the program is open to nurses and other healthcare professionals who are interested in this topic.

The course consists of two sessions. We invite you to join us in learning practical seating techniques that can be applied to the care of older adults.
