At the 45th Annual Conference of the Japan Academy of Nursing Science, held in Niigata Prefecture on December 6 (Saturday) and 7 (Sunday), 2025, members of our department delivered two presentations.

From our department, Prof. Masaru Matsumoto, Professor of the Collaborative Research Course, gave a lecture at Luncheon Seminar 4 under the theme:

“Experiences with Introducing Handheld Ultrasound into Basic Nursing Education and the Potential for Its Use in a Cloud-Based Practical Training Support System.”

This luncheon seminar also featured lectures by Prof. Hiromi Sanada, President of Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University, and Prof. Noriko Ishikawa from the Department of Fundamental Nursing, who spoke on the promotion of digital transformation (DX) in nursing education.

In addition, our department presented one poster presentation and one luncheon seminar presentation at the conference.

Keiko Takahama, Shingo Oe, Masaru Matsumoto, Mariko Hata, Yukiko Mino:
“The Prevalence of Constipation Among Psychiatric Inpatients: A Cross-sectional Study.”

This conference featured numerous studies utilizing nursing ultrasound, providing a valuable opportunity to strongly recognize the advancement of innovation in nursing. Further development in nursing science is expected in the future.
